I love visiting Reteti, the first sanctuary in all of Africa to be owned and managed exclusively by Aboriginal people. The Samburu Maasai rescue and raise orphaned elephants with the aim of reintroducing them into the wild. It is a beautiful example of coexistence between wildlife and the local community. An essential visit in my travels.
