Finally Kenya!! Nairobi and I welcome you with open arms. Once you have passed the immigration procedures and collected your luggage, I will be waiting for you to go together to a hotel near the airport to rest for a few hours before starting our expedition.

Day 2: Nairobi
At the scheduled time, we will go down to enjoy a delicious breakfast and at the end we will leave for the Sheldrick elephant orphanage (https://www.sheldrickwildlifetrust.org/). This magical place is known for its work in the rescue and rehabilitation of orphaned elephants, being the most successful project in the world in this field. After the exquisite care of the center's staff for the necessary years, the elephants, already rehabilitated, are returned to their habitat and are free again.
Every day from 11:00 to 12:00 noon, we are allowed to join the orphaned elephants in their mud bath and witness them being fed with their bottles of specially prepared milk.
After this unique experience, we will go on a safari through Nairobi National Park and have our first contact with wildlife.

Day 3.- Nairobi - Ol Pejeta
Good morning!! As Hernest Hemingway said, "I never knew of a morning in Africa when I woke up not to be happy."
After breakfast, we left for Ol Pejeta.
Ol Pejeta is a private reserve where we will find a lot of wildlife: elephants, impalas, buffaloes, lions, leopards, cheetahs, hyenas and the much sought after black rhinoceroses, which have one of their sanctuaries here, housing almost 100 specimens of this fantastic species.
We will meet Baraka, an imposing rhinoceros who was born in the wild and lost the sight of both eyes due to a fight and later a waterfall. He now lives in the enclosure, and has a very important role as a rhino ambassador. Baraka can be fed from the specially designed feeding platform that borders its enclosure, offering visitors a unique experience and the opportunity to get up close and personal with an adult black rhino.
One of the visits we will make is the Chimpanzee Sanctuary, a project initiated by primatologist Jane Goodall and the only place where you can see this wonderful primate in Kenya. Here live 35 chimpanzees rescued from very traumatic situations, saved from a life of continuous abuse, many of them with serious and irrecoverable injuries caused by human abuse. Thanks to this Shrine, they have the opportunity to live a new life.
We will arrive at our accommodation for lunch, where our private chef will have prepared a delicious meal for us. After resting for a while we will continue our safari until sunset, at which time we will return to the villa for dinner and sleep.
Our chef awaits us downstairs with a scrumptious breakfast. When we finish, we will leave for Lake Naivasha.
We will arrive at lunchtime and at the end, we will enjoy a boat ride on the lake in the company of hippos and numerous water birds.
We will arrive at Crescent Island, the scene of many scenes from the movie Out of Africa, where we will walk among zebras and other herbivores.
The name Naivasha derives from the Masai word Nai'posha ("turbulent waters") as a result of the sudden storms that usually take place here. It was officially inaugurated in February 1984. The park has an altitude of about 1,890 meters and the average depth is between seven and ten meters, although in some areas of the lake it can reach up to 30 meters. The lake is a real oasis of peace for ornithologists due to the great variety of birds that frequent the park. The water of the lake is relatively cool and full of aquatic plants that are a real delicacy for certain birds and hippos.
We will have breakfast and leave for the jewel in the crown... the Masai Mara.
We will arrive at the camp for lunch.
In the afternoon we can rest, take a walk around Talek or visit a Maasai tribe to learn about their customs and way of life (contribution of 20 dollars per person for the community, to be paid directly to the chief of the tribe).
Back at the camp, we will have dinner and sleep, because tomorrow we have a full day safari.
We wake up very early with the smell of freshly woken up grass flooding everything... don't forget that you are in the Masai Mara, where you will find one of the largest concentrations of wildlife on the planet.
The Masai Mara is divided into three zones: the Mara Triangle, Musiara (where the Musiara Swamp is located), and Sekenani and we want you to know them all. Each one offers a different landscape, from the plains dotted with acacia trees to the Oloololo mountain range, through the famous Mara River, with its chocolate waters, full of life and death.
This is one of the few places where it is possible to see the "Big Five": buffalo, lion, leopard, elephant and rhinoceros... and do you know why they are called so? I'll tell you when we are in the "wild"...
It is also famous for the annual migration of more than a million wildebeests, thousands of zebras, and gazelles. This incredible spectacle of crossing the Mara River into Kenya takes place at the end of July or August. In October the animals return to Tanzania, crossing the Mara again.

Day 7.- Masai Mara - Nairobi
After breakfast, we will depart back to Nairobi and you will stay at the Four Points Hotel, located at the airport to fly to Zanzibar tomorrow.

Day 8.- Nairobi - Zanzibar
Today it's time for a little beach...
After your breakfast you will go to the airport with the hotel shuttle to take the flight to Zanzibar and upon arrival the hotel transfer will be waiting for you to take you to the RIU PALACE ZANZIBAR 5* for a stay of 4 nights on an IT basis, Jr. Suite type room.
