Tiger Safari in India and Taj Mahal

Departure from the chosen airport (check different departure cities) destination to our next adventure!! Night on board.  

We arrive at Indira Gandhi International Airport early in the morning and after the immigration formalities, my local team will be waiting for us at the airport to leave for Sariska National Park by road. The journey is about three and a half hours and we are one step away from living one of the most authentic experiences you can imagine! I'll tell you a little bit about the Sariska Tiger Reserve.... It is a national park where we find a perfect mix of nature... mountains, meadows, dry forests and cliffs that extend over its 800 square kilometers. Located in Alwar, this Tiger Reserve is nestled in the lap of the Aravali Hills. It is currently home to numerous animals in addition to tigers, such as jungle cats, rhesus macaques, sambhar, chital, wild boar and numerous species of birds, such as sandgrouse, quail, eagles, crested snakes, etc. And here comes the most spectacular part... leopards avoid tigers and do not live within the reserve, they inhabit the rocks around the Utsav Sariska camp... Precisely where we are going to stay!!! Wooooowwwwwwww..... We will arrive at the camp, check in and have lunch. This is a magical place for me... The rock formations that surround the village are of immense beauty and transport me to other worlds. They hide in their bowels the secret of coexistence between humans and leopards. Something unique... In the afternoon we will go out in search of leopards in the surroundings of the camp. During the hike we will learn to identify their footprints and although sightings are not guaranteed, our experienced team will provide the best opportunities and methods to observe these majestic animals in the wild. The walk will conclude at sunset with an English snack. Can you imagine walking and seeing how a female leopard climbs up some rock formations that are a few meters from you??? Well, that's what we're looking for... We are in a place completely away from the crowds, without mass tourism... A special and unique corner that has given me, personally, one of the most beautiful moments I have ever lived in nature. The excitement of being in a place where leopards coexist with the humans who inhabit this village is indescribable. We will leave very early on safari in search of the encounter with the spectacular Bengal Tiger. Our vehicle will be a gipsy for exclusive use. We will return to the camp for lunch and in the afternoon we will walk around the village to photograph the daily life of this small village away from mass tourism. We will have dinner at the camp under the starry sky. Lodging at the camp.

In the morning we will tour the "Buffer" area located around the camp, where we find the rock formations called "boulders", in search of hyenas and leopards. Depending on the weight of our photographic equipment, we will do it on foot or by car. In the afternoon, we will have another opportunity to try to see tigers in the Sariska reserve, in our private gipsy type vehicle. Breakfast, lunch and dinner at the camp. Lodging at the camp.

After breakfast, we said goodbye to Sariska and left by road towards Agra. The journey will take approximately four hours, always depending on the state of traffic. Upon arrival, we will check in at the hotel. In the afternoon, we will discover Agra with a local guide, visiting the Agra Fort and Taj Mahal (subject to schedules). We will enjoy the sunset at the Taj Mahal, the magic hour for photography. The Tal Mahal, known as the ode written in marble, has enraptured the world with its beauty. The mausoleum was built by Shah Jahan, the bereaved Mughal emperor, after his beloved wife, Mumtaz Mahal, died during childbirth. For 22 years, the emperor recruited the best craftsmen, masons and architects from faraway places such as Italy and France to build this majestic monument. After breakfast we depart for Satpura, with a stop to visit Bhimbetka, a UNESCO World Heritage Site. We will walk among rock shelters with prehistoric paintings showing hunting scenes, rituals and daily life from thousands of years ago. It is a short but fascinating visit, which connects us with the oldest history of the region before entering the wild nature of Satpura. Upon arrival we will check in and have lunch. We are in one of the wonderfully preserved areas for the protection of flora and fauna. In the afternoon we will go on safari... Today we will dedicate ourselves to touring this wonderful landscape in the footsteps of these stealthy feline giants, with safari both in the morning and in the afternoon. Breakfast, lunch and dinner at the lodge. Satpura National Park extends over 1427 square kilometers and consists of fascinating deep valleys, sandstone peaks, narrow gorges, streams, waterfalls, thick and dense green forest of Salt and other medicinal herbs, as well as large expanses of Teak forests. Satpura is a Sanskrit word meaning seven mountains (sapta-seven; pure-mountain). Most of the Satpura mountain range was densely forested, but the area has been subject to gradual deforestation in recent decades, although significant forest masses remain. These forest enclaves provide habitat for several at-risk and endangered species, including the tiger.

We will dedicate the full day to the tiger safari in Satpura, touring its silent forests and natural viewpoints in search of the big cat. It will be an intense day of nature, fresh traces and the emotion of each encounter. Breakfast, lunch and dinner at the camp.  

Today is our last day in Satpura, after breakfast we will leave by road to Bhopal to take flight to Delhi. As the landscape recedes through the window, we say goodbye to the jungle with the feeling of having experienced something real: the silence of Satpura at dawn, the gaze of the forest, the heartbeat of adventure and the excitement of looking for the tiger in its territory. We will arrive at the airport and leave for our hotel in Delhi to rest until the departure time of our flight back to Spain (or to our next destination or extension).
